[Cherry Blossoms - Best Viewing] Gakuin Park

The collaboration of the red bridge and cherry blossoms is wonderful.

Gakuin Park

Late Mar~Early Apr

Gakuin Park, the largest urban park in Nakama City, is a famous site with abundant natural scenery throughout the four seasons. Crossing the red bridge over the pond leads to the grounds of Haniwa Shrine, where you can also find the 'Gakuin Rakan Hundred Caves' (designated cultural property from the Kofun period). It is a famous cherry blossom spot, and around the end of March, one of the city's three major festivals, the 'Chikuzen Nakama Cherry Blossom Festival,' is held, attracting many visitors. The square features a large complex playground with 'Nakapparobo' as the main motif, and offers equipment suitable for a wide range of age groups.
