Uchino Hachiman Shrine Festival
Sumo and lion dance are dedicated
An annual festival held on September 14th to 15th. Uchino Hachiman Shrine is said to be the guardian deity of the HoKe sect Watanabe family. On the evening of the night festival, members gather to chant "Namu Myōhō Renge Kyō" as a tradition. On the festival day, sumo matches and lion dance are performed, and on the night of the 14th, a gathering of HoKe believers takes place.
