Cherry Blossom 'Kou Edizakura' in Full Bloom

Designated Natural Monument of Koriyama City
A weeping cherry blossom known as the 'daughter of Miharu Takizakura', with an estimated age of about 400 years. It features enchanting pink flowers. Beneath this cherry tree, there is a Jizo Hall, where it is said that people have long prayed to this Jizo to escape the misfortunes of short-lived or dying infants. Additionally, there is also a 'Hanamomo Corridor' nearby that is in full bloom from mid-April to early May.
