Summer Illumination in Nirasaki 2025

Nirasaki City is the birthplace of Hanayo Gondo, the lyricist of the Ministry of Education's school song 'Tanabata-sama.' The area in front of Nirasaki Station is vividly decorated with illuminations and tanzaku (wish strips) inspired by Tanabata decorations. (Tanzaku will be available until the scheduled amount runs out). On June 27, in addition to the lighting ceremony, there will also be the 'Tanabata Night Market' with a gathering of food trucks and the 'Starry Sky Wine Stand' featuring over 10 types of locally produced Nirasaki wine.

Lighting hours are daily from 19:00 to 22:00 during the period (lighting ceremony on June 27 from 19:00). The 'Tanabata Night Market' and 'Nirasaki Wine Stand' will be held on June 27 from 17:00 to 21:00.
