What Picture Books Teach About "Sexual Minorities"

June is "Pride Month", a time when activities to promote LGBTQ+ rights are held around the world. At Hachidori-sha, we hold the "Sexual Minority BAR" once a month throughout the year, creating opportunities for people to meet directly and think and understand. But how are these themes depicted in picture books? Let's explore this together with picture book instructor Kayoko Kamei, who says, "Important things are all taught by picture books."
