135th Anniversary of Water Flow "Exhibition of the Old Tone Canal"

June 18, the day the Tone Canal was completed, welcomed guests such as Aritomo Yamagata in Meiji 23. To commemorate 135 years of water flow, photos of the old Tone Canal owned by the Edogawa River Office of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, as well as photos from around 1975 during renovation works, will be displayed. You can see valuable photographs of the canal during excavation, late construction, rails laid for transporting soil, and manual dredging work.
