31st Rōkaku Ume Garden Flower Festival
The contrast of white and red plum blossoms spreading all around
"Rōkaku Ume Garden" boasts over 1,000 Ryukyo small plums and red plums blooming across 4 hectares. The garden will be open to the public during the flowering period! (From March 23 until the petals fall) It is the earliest flower festival in Northern Shinano where you can enjoy cherry blossom viewing and strolling. Events will also be held on March 29 (Saturday) to 30 (Sunday). There will be a variety of activities including BBQ parties at the Genghis Khan banquet hall and performances on the stage downstream of Shinmachi Bridge. Let's leisurely enjoy spring in Shinshu Shinmachi wrapped in the fragrance of plums.

About 40 minutes from the "Nagano" IC on the Joshinetsu Expressway
About 45 minutes by bus from JR Nagano Station Zenkoji Exit, boarding at platform 2 for the "Shinmachi Oharabashi" bus. Get off at "Shinmachi" and walk for 15 minutes.
