The 48th Oshino Hakkai Festival

An annual tradition! The biggest event in Oshino Village
A village-wide summer festival dedicated to praying for the peace and prosperity of Oshino Village, featuring the guardian deity of Oshino Hakkai, "Hachidai Ryuō." The ceremony includes a ritual performed by the shrine priest, various stage performances, and stalls set up in the schoolyard. The festival culminates with approximately 8,888 fireworks. A highlight is the "Hachimanjiyaki" from Kōzazusan, praying for the happiness of villagers and the peace and prosperity of the village.
