Hiroshima Gokoku Shrine Mantou Mitama Festival

A symbol of early summer
A cultural event that colors early summer, 'Mantou Mitama Festival'. Held every year on the last Saturday of May at the main shrine, and Sunday at the rear shrine, it is a festival to comfort the spirits of those who died in war. On the 24th (Sat) starting at 19:00, the sight of over 100 women dressed in Miko costumes dancing all at once is breathtaking. Let's visit to see the splendid performance. Additionally, professional Miko dances and Yosakoi by 'Kanwa' will also be showcased. On the following 25th (Sun), there will be a 'Children's Sumo Tournament' and Kagura dedication.
