Bringing the Yogo Hagoromo Legend to Noh!
Shiga Prefectural Cultural Industry Exchange Hall, Special Stage "Choeiza" in the Event Hall
8/11(Mon)~ 14:00~
In the northern part of Shiga Prefecture, there is a small lake called Lake Yogo. The "Hagoromo Legend" is passed down there. Since there is also a Noh play called "Hagoromo," a newly produced performance titled Noh Suite "Yogo" will be presented based on the story passed down at Lake Yogo. The opening will feature "The Song of the Sailing Lake Biwa" by the Shiga Prefecture Traditional Music Group "Shuhari," followed by the first part discussing the Hagoromo Legend of Hokuriku (talk) with Masahiro Kobayashi, Hiromichi Tamoi, and Toshimi Chikuta, and in the second part, the Noh Suite "Yogo" featuring a luxurious lineup of performers including Kuroemon Katayama and Gen Mikata.
