Earthenware and Sueki - Two techniques at the origin of Japanese pottery. Earthenware has a simple and warm texture due to low-temperature firing, while Sueki is characterized by its hard and refined form due to high-temperature firing. Masue Aoki and Sugako Oguri each handle both earthenware and Sueki, expressing their traditional techniques with a modern sensibility. In this exhibition, two types of pottery with different historical backgrounds are arranged as if in dialogue, allowing you to feel the warmth of handmade work.
