Shimamaki Mizubasho Festival

Shimamaki Wetland heralds the arrival of spring
The Mizubasho, with its pure white flowers (bracts), blooms abundantly across the wetland of alder forests. As the snow melts, they sprout, allowing visitors to enjoy a walk on the boardwalk while feeling the gentle sound of flowing streams and the spring sunshine filtering through the trees. Depending on the season, Zazensou and Katakuri, along with mountain cherry blossoms, bloom together, offering a delightful display of lovely flowers.
