"The foremost plant our country can proudly present to the world is the cherry blossom," says Dr. Tomitaro Makino, known for his great love of cherry blossoms. Following his will, the Makino Botanical Garden has planted over 200 cherry trees of about 40 varieties, including wild and ornamental types. During the two days of 'Sakura no Yoi,' various plants at their peak, including Edohigan 'Beni-Shidare' cherry blossoms, will be illuminated. Enjoy the beauty of spring flowering trees and music during the nighttime opening.
