The rice planting festival (Otaue-sai) is a festival praying for a bountiful harvest of grains, where adorable young girls dressed in red sashes gracefully perform rice planting dances. In a special venue set up in front of the shrine, the girls dance charmingly to the sounds of flutes and drums.
