Sakura Full Bloom: Innoshima Suigun Castle

A charming view of the Suigun Castle through the cherry blossoms
The only Suigun castle in Japan that exhibits valuable materials related to the "Murakami Pirates (Murakami Suigun)" recognized as a Japan Heritage. Through the display of armor, swords, and scrolls detailing the tactics used by the Murakami Suigun, who were active in this area from the Northern and Southern Dynasties to the Muromachi and Warring States periods, their achievements are introduced. Additionally, at the base of the castle, the "Konrenji Temple" has the graves of generations of the Murakami Suigun (Gorin-tō), allowing visitors to feel the weight of history. In spring, cherry blossoms bloom here, though in limited numbers. The view of the Suigun Castle through the cherry blossoms is enchanting.
