Ayakashi Ginza

Japan's summer is a summer of ghosts. It is said that during the Edo period, kabuki theaters featured horror stories in the summer under the name "Suzumi Drama," which led to the culture of enjoying scary tales during the summer. This summer, a collection of mysterious ayakashi will gather at Ginza Mitsukoshi. Inspired by the works of the ukiyo-e master Toriyama Sekien, known as the ancestor of yokai painting, contemporary artists in the Reiwa era present their new interpretations of the Night Parade of One Hundred Demons. Let’s enjoy Edo culture while feeling the coolness in our hearts.
