[Cherry Blossom Viewing] Hagi Castle Ruins Shichigetsu Park

The park features about 600 Somei Yoshino cherry blossom trees, as well as double cherry blossoms and Ukon cherry blossoms, which beautifully color the park in spring. Additionally, the Midori Yoshino, a natural monument of Yamaguchi Prefecture, is a rare variety characterized by its white petals and green calyx. It blooms earlier than the standard Somei Yoshino, typically reaching full bloom around late March. An illumination event is also held to match the peak bloom, allowing enjoyment of nighttime cherry blossom viewing.

The event date is a guideline for the peak blooming period, which may vary due to weather conditions. The usual peak bloom for Midori Yoshino is from mid to late March, and for Somei Yoshino is from late March to early April.
