Inoue Shrine Festival

The raging portable shrine comes out in the river's edge.
The deity of Inoue Shrine is Minakata-no-Kami, the water god. The founding date is unknown, but there is a building certificate from the second year of Kanpo (1742). The parishioners have performed rituals for rain when they faced water shortages since ancient times. Every year, on the first Sunday in July, a portable shrine that runs wild appears at the river's edge, but this was prohibited for women until this event was established. After the portable shrine, there will be a rice cake throwing ceremony and stalls run by local people.
