Nanzan Kannonji Autumn Leaves Festival

At Nanzan Kannonji in Sasaguri-cho, Fukuoka Prefecture, there are over a thousand maples and andromeda, and the entire mountain turns bright red. This mountain temple is at an altitude of 450m, and the foliage can be enjoyed about two weeks earlier (late October) compared to flat areas. From October 28 to November 24, the "Autumn Leaves Festival" is held, where stalls line up and it becomes lively with many visitors during the peak foliage season. During the Autumn Leaves Festival, special viewings of the Yugi Great Treasure Tower are conducted. The viewing hours for Yugi Tower are from 9:30 to 16:00 (last entry).
