The Lady of the Sea, Kaiwomaru
The Kaiwomaru is a sailing ship that was born as a training ship for merchant marine schools. Since its launch on February 14, 1930, it has navigated over 1.06 million nautical miles (about 50 trips around the Earth) and has nurtured 11,190 young sailors. At Kaiwomaru Park, the Kaiwomaru is open to the public in its active form, and during the scheduled ten total sail displays each year, it showcases its elegant appearance.
