Hime Ookuwagata Research Camp

Explore stag beetles with fellow insect enthusiasts!
Hime Ookuwagata live in cool beech forests. To meet them, who have developed unique survival strategies, different methods from typical stag beetles are necessary. In this camp, we will formulate hypotheses based on traces of stag beetles and the surrounding environment, and seek out those methods. It will be four days of seeing, thinking, confirming, and encountering new discoveries. Target participants are 6th-grade elementary school students to 3rd-year junior high school students. As this camp is aimed at elementary and junior high school students, parents are not allowed to participate. The capacity is 15 people. ■Notes After registration, detailed schedules, health survey forms, and other materials will be sent by email.
