Awara Onsen Spring Festival
A traditional festival that has continued since the end of the Meiji era
Since the discovery of the hot spring in Meiji 16, this traditional festival has continued since the end of the Meiji era. A large "Doll Mountain" themed after Sengoku warlords. A "Taiko Mountain" where taiko drums are played. And among the vividly decorated "Sakura Mountain (Hanayama)", geishas play cheerful music. Together with the street stalls that line the roadside, it entertains the spectators.
