Astronomical Planning Exhibition "History of the Planetarium"

The planetarium of the Sagamihara City Museum is scheduled for a full renewal in mid-July 2025. In celebration of this, we will look back at the history of the planetarium, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary since its birth. The exhibition will feature the optical projector "GSS-HELIOS" that has been in operation for 29 years until December 2024, various projection devices along with their mechanisms, and also introduce the planetarium projectors scheduled for updates.
