Iwami Night Kagura Masuda Performance (Second Half)

The dance of the gods gathered tonight
Let's enjoy Iwami Kagura on Saturday night in Masuda! Using Japanese mythology as its theme, Iwami Kagura features the unique, melancholic sound of flutes and lively drumming, with performers wearing splendid costumes woven with gold and silver threads and expressive masks. The style of performance has evolved over time, and now features the magnificent rhythm of Hachijōshi and a variety of performances. The dances and music are intense, characterized by a refreshing and heroic spirit that is distinctive of Masuda's Iwami Kagura.
