Taimadera Temple began with the Manpōzōin built by Prince Maroko, the third son of Emperor Yomei, in the year 612 in the province of Kawachi. It is said that later, Maroko's grandson, Kunimi Taimar, moved it to its current location associated with the monk En no Gyōja. The grounds are very spacious, featuring many buildings. Every year, from mid to late November, the trees on the grounds change color, creating a stunning view of the historic structures complemented by beautiful autumn foliage.
