Iwasaki Kannon Hall 108 Lantern Festival

The gentle light of the lanterns illuminates the approach
The Iwasaki Kannon, worshipped as the Buddha of childbirth and safe delivery, is also known as the 'Child of the Crane Kannon.' On the day, many lanterns will illuminate the approach, and as a blessing for children, one egg (raw egg) will be distributed. There is a unique custom during the festival where, if you are blessed with a child (or have given birth), you return double that amount, i.e., two eggs as a token of gratitude. The return of the eggs (gratitude visit) is accepted during the main festival and on the last Sunday of March each year.
