Hajime Tajima was born in 1955 in Towada City, Aomori Prefecture. He quit his ceramics activities in 2001 to pursue painting, and is currently creating artworks in Kamogawa City, Chiba Prefecture. This exhibition at O Gallery is his 5th solo show and his first in 6 years. He paints ambiguous and mysterious things that do not exist in reality as the "nonsense" within him, without being bound by common sense or any context. He expresses the essence of what is "clear" by not using brushes and painting with his hands or things nearby, as he speaks about. About 13 works will be displayed.
