Jōhoku Iris Garden Opening

The "Jōhoku Iris Garden (shirokitashoubuen)" is widely beloved by citizens as an iris garden located in Osaka City. It is a stroll-style iris garden that opened in May 1964, covering an area of about 13,000 square meters. It cultivates around 250 varieties of "Hanashoubu" from three types: Edo, Higo, and Ise, with about 13,000 plants, and is best viewed around early June. Admission is until 30 minutes before closing time.

Admission fee is 200 yen. Group discounts: 10% off for groups of 30 or more, 20% off for 50 or more, and 30% off for 100 or more. Free for middle school students and below, residents of Osaka City aged 65 and over, and holders of disability certificates (accompanying caregivers are also free).

About a 15-minute walk from JR Osaka East Line "Jōhoku Park-dori", immediately after getting off at Osaka City Bus "Jōhoku Park-mae" bus stop.
