Focus on Banjiro Terauchi's Children's Paintings

Banjiro Terauchi (1890-1964), known for his nude paintings, began creating children's paintings for children's magazines around 1923 (Taisho 12). This exhibition introduces the children's paintings that Terauchi drawn with exceptional observational skills, including cover illustrations and pictures from 'Kinder Book'.

Access

About 1 hour from Hiroshima Station / about 35 minutes from Kure Station via National Route 185 towards Takehara.

Access (Public)

Take the bus from Hiroshima Station to the Setouchi Bus Company's 'Agriculture Center/Okiyu Tenmangu Shrine' route and get off at 'San-no-se' in Shimo-Kamagari town.
