Mizusawa Park, which is designated as a natural monument by the prefecture, boasts over 500 cherry blossom trees, including ancient trees from the Higan cherry group. To coincide with the usual peak viewing period, lanterns are lit and illuminations are held, allowing visitors to enjoy a fantastical view of nighttime cherry blossoms illuminated by light.
