A Relay of Lotus Flowers that Color the Summer
Chikurikidoi Park features a lotus pond of approximately 9,700 square meters within its 3,000 tsubo grounds. In a 200 square meter pond on the south side of the lotus pond, the adorable varieties 'Nisennen Hasu' and 'Maikihasu' bloom successively from late June to mid-July each year, and by early August, large edible lotus flowers bloom in the main pond, reaching the size of children's heads.
