Born in 1936 in Maebashi, Gunma Prefecture, Tsukasa Osamu spent his childhood during the war, and the atomic bomb has been a long-standing theme of his. 'Machinto' (written by Miyoko Matsutani, Kaiseisha, 1978) is a picture book centered on a girl who, after being exposed to the bomb in Hiroshima on the morning of August 6, 1945, pleaded for 'a little more (machi nto)' before passing away. This exhibition showcases works from his early days to recent pieces, introducing the world of Tsukasa Osamu, who continues to think and express himself even at the age of 88.
