Takamori Town in southern Shinshu, adjacent to Iida City. This historic grand event began in the year the JR Iida Line opened, and last year, in 2023, marked its 100th anniversary. The lanterns illuminating the surface of the Tenryu River and the fireworks shaking the valley with a loud sound are spectacular. The main venue extends from Ichida Station on the JR Iida Line to Myojin Bridge over the Tenryu River, with many night stalls adding to the lively atmosphere, allowing tens of thousands of people to enjoy a moment of late summer in the Ina Valley.
