[Sakura Bloom] Daizenji's Weeping Cherry Tree

Daizenji's Weeping Cherry Tree opened by Monk Bunnou.

Daizenji

Early Apr

Daizenji is the 19th sacred site of Inaba Yakushi. It is said to have been opened by Monk Bunnou during the Keicho (or Bunroku) period. During the feudal era, it served as a place of prayer for the feudal lord, who is said to have dismounted when he came near the temple during his alternate attendance. The weeping cherry tree on the temple grounds, over 100 years old, blooms beautifully every year, delighting the eyes of visitors.
