[Sea Bathing] Ishi Beach

Ishi Beach, located in the northern part of Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture, is a beautiful beach selected as one of the 'Hundred Selections of White Sand and Green Pine.' It has also been chosen as one of the 'Hundred Excellent Bathing Beaches,' popular among a wide range of ages. There are public free showers, changing rooms, and restrooms, and the day-use natural hot spring facility 'Urara no Yu Juou' is adjacent. It is also the only cormorant catching site in Japan, where visitors can observe the cormorant catching grounds used in cormorant fishing across the country.
