Cultural Property Center Summer Exhibition "Origins of Post Towns in the Edo Period" - Yakage, Horikoshi, Imaichi, and Nanokaichi -

This introduces the history of how the inns in the Ibara City and Yakage Town areas came to serve public purposes such as forwarding luggage and documents and accommodating daimyo travel needs, based on the Ishii family documents that served as the honjin (main inn) of Yakage Inn during the Edo period. ■Remarks On August 30 (Saturday) from 13:00 to 14:30, there will be a lecture on the exhibition materials. Limited to 30 participants. Free of charge, but pre-registration is required.
