Ippukutenda Temple Ise Mountain Spring Festival Ceremony (Door Opening Ceremony)

A Sacred Site Continuing for 1300 Years
Every year on the 4th Sunday of April, a ceremony is held to honor the founder of Ise Mountain, Enno Ozunu, who established the site in the year 701 (the 1st year of the Taiho Era). On this day, the doors of the "Iwaya Hondo" located halfway up the mountain are opened, and at the foothills, the "Goma Burning" and "Fire Walking" ceremonies are held, where numerous visitors pray for family safety, good health, and prosperous business.
