A handmade market held in a picturesque machiya
An indoor handmade market born from the voices saying, "I want to protect my work from sudden wind and rain!" On the second weekend of every month, about 30 shops gather to sell handmade goods. Fresh vegetables from Kamigamo, Kyoto on Saturday, and candy craft performances & workshops on Sunday. Unique handmade items include notebook covers and accessories made from Maiko obi, bags, and more. The gallery, renovated from a 200-year-old traditional Kyoto machiya, is also appealing.
