Museum Training Achievements Exhibition "The Winds of Modernity in Japan: Design for Living, Design for Display"

Introducing the path of Japan's modernization
This exhibition is part of a museum training program, where students from Kyoto Institute of Technology curate and display. Amidst the rapid wave of modernization, the lives of Japanese people have undergone significant transformations. The journey of Japan's modernization from the end of the Edo period through the Meiji Restoration to the early Showa period is showcased through four topics: "Dyeing","Advertising Media","Simplified Posters", and "Department Stores". The various designs, techniques, and forms of expression that emerged during the modernization process convey the spirit of the times and aesthetic sensibilities to the present day.
