The Ayame Festival, held at Asamai Park in Hiraka Town since 1982, marks its 44th year this year. Within the 5.5 ha park, 600,000 blooms of 80 varieties of iris flowers are in full bloom. Various events will take place on 6/21 (Sat), 22 (Sun), 28 (Sat), and 29 (Sun). A tent village set up by local shopping districts will add to the lively atmosphere.
