Exhibition "Medieval Society and Court Nobility of Southwestern Shikoku"

The Hata region of Kochi Prefecture and the Nanyo region of Ehime Prefecture were noted by central court nobles such as the Ichijo and Saionji clans during the medieval period. This exhibition, with special cooperation from the Ehime Prefectural Museum of History and Culture, is an opportunity to re-recognize the medieval society of Southwestern Shikoku from the perspective of "court nobility" in the title of the exhibition, through historical materials left in ancient documents and shrines, as well as excavated artifacts from sites in Kyoto City and Matsura City, Nagasaki Prefecture.
