109th Ashikaga Fireworks Festival

Founded in Meiji 36, a fireworks festival with history and tradition
The Ashikaga Fireworks Festival was founded in Meiji 36 (1903), and this year marks its 122nd year and the 109th event. In addition to its long-standing tradition and history, the festival held in the city center is known as one of the best fireworks festivals in the Kanto region, attracting many spectators from all over Kanto each year, making it the most vibrant day in Ashikaga. About 20,000 fireworks are planned to be launched, featuring simultaneous launches of large shells and wide star mines that will color the night sky. In particular, the climax 'Niagara' is breathtaking.
