A traditional night festival that has been held for about 170 years in Ōgo Town, located at the southern foot of Mt. Akagi, which has prospered since ancient times. It is believed to have originated in the late Edo period when the Tenno and the fierce lions began to parade the town to exorcise a plague that was rampant in Ōgo. On the 27th, the fierce lion will march through the town in a wild manner, and its impressive figure exorcizing evil is a must-see. The festival features a collaboration of festival floats and citizen-participation events such as Yagibushi and Gunma Ōgo Wind God Drums at the venue.
