Screening and Lecture "Seiroku Honda: Pioneer of Japan's Forestry and Parks"

Get to know the great man of Saitama, Seiroku Honda.
Leading up to the National Tree Planting Festival to be held in Saitama Prefecture in May this year, we will focus on Seiroku Honda, who hailed from present-day Kuki City, the first doctor of forestry in Japan, and known as the 'Father of Parks' in Japan. We will screen archived footage related to Seiroku Honda, which is housed in the public library, and feature a lecture by Mr. Katsumi Shibuya, an advisor to the Association for the Commemoration of Dr. Seiroku Honda, who will delve into his life and achievements. Capacity is 300 people (first-come, first-served).
