[Cherry Blossom Viewing] Sunpu Castle Park

Sunpu Castle Park, which was developed from the ruins of Sunpu Castle, where Tokugawa Ieyasu lived as shogun, is an 18ha park surrounded by moats. This comprehensive park has facilities such as a free plaza, sunken gardens, and play areas, and is beloved by citizens due to its location in the city center. During cherry blossom season, visitors can enjoy the beautiful reflections of cherry blossoms in the moat. The city is progressing with developments to make Sunpu Castle Park and its surroundings the premier cherry blossom viewing spot in Tokai, including plans for cherry blossom illuminations as part of this initiative.
