Naena Falls

Mid-Oct~Late Oct

Naena Falls, with a drop of 55m, located on the border with Nagano Prefecture, is also known as Earthquake Falls. The sight of water crashing down from the columnar basalt walls, creating impressive spray, is truly breathtaking, and it has been selected as one of 'Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls'. The most beautiful seasons to see the falls are during the spring thaw and around mid-October when the autumn leaves are at their peak. There is a walking path to the falls that can be reached in about 15 minutes on foot.
