[Cherry Blossoms, Best Viewing] Asukayama Park

Enjoy cherry blossoms in a historic park

Asukayama Park

Late Mar~Early Apr

Asukayama Park is known for its cherry blossoms. About 300 years ago, the eighth shogun, Tokugawa Yoshimune, initiated the planting of cherry trees to create a recreational spot for the people of Edo as part of his Kyōhō reforms. Designated as one of Japan's first parks in the sixth year of the Meiji era, along with Ueno, Shiba, Asakusa, and Fukagawa, it continues to serve as a place for relaxation and gathering. The park features museums, information centers, monuments, statues, an outdoor stage, and is equipped with the Asuka Park Rail, making it a visitor-friendly park.
