100th Uesugi Kenshin Festival

Pride of the 100th year - Inheriting the 'Spirit of Justice'
This event is held to honor the martial prowess and virtuous deeds of the famous warlord Uesugi Kenshin from the Sengoku period. This time, marking the 100th occasion, the beloved 'Ken Matsudaira', known for appearances in numerous historical dramas and Matsuken Samba, will appear as Uesugi Kenshin. The performance includes a reenactment of the signal fire and Uesugi Kenshin's departure called 'Butei-shiki', a procession of armored warriors called 'Shutsujin gyoretsu', and a reenactment of the 'Battle of Kawanakajima', rumored to be the largest battle of the Sengoku period, captivating audiences with its powerful and immersive experience reminiscent of a Sengoku picture scroll.
