Lacquer art has a long history and is a representative craft of Japan. The Japan Traditional Lacquer Art Exhibition is held as a lacquer art section of the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition, aiming to inherit traditions and apply them to modern life. This 42nd exhibition will travel through three venues in Tokyo, Wajima, and Takamatsu, showcasing all 82 selected works, including 7 award-winning pieces. Additionally, in Permanent Exhibition Room 2, we will simultaneously hold 'Kagawa's Living National Treasures - Inheritance of Skills' through the Takamatsu City Museum of Art collection. Enjoy the charm of lacquer art while viewing both exhibitions.
