A Japanese who became a traditional heir of the Kenya Duruma people - Dancing with Spirits and Drums -

Talking about the minority Duruma people
The Duruma people, who have lived alongside various spirits existing in the sea, land, and nature, are facing hardships as their fields and seas are taken away by the rapid waves of development and modernization. In the midst of tradition and modernization, what is their ongoing connection with nature, and what is their mission as traditional heirs of Japan? This talk, combined with episodes of traditional ceremonies, will be delivered through a dialogue with Chiaki Hayakawa, who has lived in Kenya for 37 years, musician Masaya Onishi, and Eriko Yasuhiko.
